Bachelor degree studies for nurses

Bachelor degree studies for nurses are aimed at those who have already gained nursing qualifications. They give an opportunity of nursing qualifications increase at every level of professional practice. These studies offer a qualifications supplement for certified nurses and enable nurses to get higher education. Period of studies is the following: 

4 terms - professional studies for nurses who possess the certificate of secondary education and who are the 5-year medical schools graduates (studying in medical school started in 1980/1981 or later).

5 terms - professional studies for nurses who possess the certificate of secondary education and who are the 5-year medical schools graduates (studying in medical school started earlier than in 1980/1981).

4 terms - professional studies for nurses who possess the certificate of secondary education and who are the 2-year medical professional schools graduates.

3 terms - professional studies for nurses who possess the certificate of secondary education and who are the 2,5-year medical professional schools graduates.

2 terms - professional studies for nurses who possess the certificate of secondary education and who are the 3-year medical professional schools graduates.

People interested in these studies should make an application to the Dean's Office at Czestochowa University of Management. The application includes documents that prove professional experience, especially nursing experience in particular health service departments, qualification courses certificates and specialization certificates in the field of nursing or in another field applied in health protection.

Nursing students will get knowledge in the following areas:

- medical, nursing and social science,
- help brought to unit, family and social group with achieving and being kept in good physical, psychological and social condition in living, working and studying environment,
- professional nursing care of a person, a family, a social group on the ethical principles and on the principles of the holistic look at a man, initiation abilities and abilities of supporting local communities in health actions.

Job perspectives after studies

A graduate with nursing qualifications may be employed in public and non-public health care centres: in hospitals, basic health care centres, educational institutions, palliative and hospice centres, medical rescue units, sanitariums. The graduate from nursing field of studies is ready to take up a job as a nurse and to participate in research contributing to development of scientific practice basics and to increase the quality of care. The graduate may work with different kind of patients regardless of their health condition. The graduate is ready for work with individual patients, family, other groups as well as for work at patient's home, hospital, hospice, clinic.
