A graduate of pedagogy studies has basic pedagogical, sociological and psychological knowledge essential
for understanding sociocultural context of education or social work and for forming his own professional
development. These studies are basic to gain solid professional preparation, and
to develop skills of reflective look at his own role in professional life.
Theoretical and practical classes as well as vocational training carried out during pedagogy studies
are to prepare students for work in different care educational institutions, welfare centres, centres for
the disabled, specialist clinics, in institutions of the health service as well as in judicial institutions
as a tutor, adviser, probation officer, in schools (e.g. day-care rooms).
Preparing pedagogues to be takes place by delivering knowledge and skills in the wide area
of education, social science, professional consulting. The additional result of pedagogy studies
is forming a prosocial and self-improving student's attitude.
